CATANIA – I rappresentanti di Cgil Cisl, Uil e UGL di Catania unitamente alle sigle di categoria del settore trasporti e terziario, hanno abbandonato ancora prima che iniziasse, la riunione di Palazzo degli Elefanti sull’ ipotesi di fusione tra l’ Azienda municipale trasporti di Catania e la società “Sostare”.
La decisione è stata presa “a seguito del fatto che non sarebbe stato presente il primo cittadino Salvo Pogliese e che le condizioni stesse della sala non erano adatte ad una discussione serena e ordinata su un tema così delicato. Una riunione così organizzata avrebbe avuto puro valore formale e in un clima da ‘curva Sud’, mentre il fatto che si decida il destino di circa 1000 lavoratori necessita di ben altra procedura. Due importanti aziende si fondono, e non servirebbe a nulla ridurre il tutto ad un mero momento di ascolto”.
“Solo per senso di responsabilità nei confronti della città e dei lavoratori, – prosegue la nota – i sindacalisti hanno scelto di allontanarsi e ora chiedono ufficialmente una nuova convocazione ben organizzata, alla quale partecipino solo le sigle con diritto di rappresentanza, in presenza del sindaco di Catania, e in un clima di ascolto e confronto possibile. Il rispetto per le questioni più importanti per il futuro della città passa per la concertazione e per l’esercizio reale di essa, che implica confronti veri, condivisioni democratiche e ascolto non solo formale. Se il confronto non sarà avviato, i sindacati firmatari dei contratti collettivi nazionali, si vedranno costretti a chiedere il blocco del processo di fusione”.
